Pythagoras Academy, Richmond BC’s new private independent non-religious, co-educational school, is dedicated to help students reach their full potential by harnessing their unique strengths in the academics, arts, sports, social skills and community involvement. The school is founded on the Renaissance Humanist Philosophy of education which gives utmost value to the well-rounded development of students in all aspects of growth and learning. Students are encouraged to think critically and creatively as well as communicate effectively in the learning process.
This summer, Pythagoras Academy invites students to immerse themselves in a fun educational learning experience through the school’s2015 International Summer Camp Programs. Each program aims to engage students from different age groups in an intensive educational curriculum filled with interactive recreational learning activities. The programs are designed and conducted by world renowned instructors in various learning fields. An enriching blend of music and performing arts, sports and social interactions will keep participants highly-engaged throughout the duration of the camps.
A specialized program in the Language Arts aims to help students improve their vocabulary, reading and speaking skills and comprehension. Adequate time will be given for students to read and write to enhance their language skills. Students can also improve in Math and Scienceas these classes highlight creativity and analytical abilities in both subjects.
Remaining true to Pythagoras Academy’s philosophy on education, there will also be an exciting mix of music and drama to explore artistic talents. The Music and Drama programs will conduct poem readings, story-telling and appreciation of classical music to spark dramatic expression.
To keep students physically active, there will be Sports and Games classes that will provide opportunities to learn sports such as golf, tennis, soccer, and basketball.
Since the Pythagoras Summer Camps is all about engaging in fun exploration, students have the chance to explore some of Vancouver’s top attractions such as the Science World, Aberdeen Centre, Richmond Olympic Oval, University of British Columbia, Granville Island, Queen Elizabeth Park, Vancouver Aquarium and Stanley Park.
