Sprott Shaw College, represented by Global Education Alliance (both subsidiaries of CIBT Education Group) participated in the “Philippines-Canada Partnerships Infosession” organized by the Commission on Higher Education and the Embassy of Canada. Held last March 2, 2018 at the CHED Office in Quezon City, international representatives of several British Columbia institutions and local representatives of Philippines institutions attended the said event. Both parties wish to promote cooperation in areas such as teaching, research, exchange of faculty and students, staff development, etc., as deemed beneficial by the two institutions.
Ms. Angel Cachuela, Trade Commissioner for Education, gave emphasis on the new “Canada – ASEAN Scholarships and Educational Exchanges for Development (SEED) Program” which provides students and researchers from member states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) with short-term exchange opportunities for study or research in Canadian post-secondary institutions at the College, Undergraduate and graduate levels. Students’ eligibility, programs availability and documents required were also successfully conferred.
Global Education Alliance is proud to be part of this infosession. Together, let us all work towards stronger ties between Philippines and Canada!
